Uscmp Precalculus and Discrete Mathematics

I agree with the poster below who states that the USCMP books all use convoluted language (and far too much of it) and reference prior knowledge, but do not review it. They assume you recall what you learned in math class three years prior and pull it into the new topic so that if you don't remember that old mathemtical information, you won't understand the new material either.

Purchased for school district. Since I didn't hear any complaints (which I would), I can only assume that teacher was happy with the item.

I stumbled on this book as a sophomore in college. I had recently made the decision to change my major to math but the problem was I had no foundation mathematical reasoning or logic.
