Seven Bamboo Tablets of the Cloudy Satchel

There is much to be said about the Tao,an Asian belief system which is more practical than mystifying.Seven Bamboo Tables is the second volume in a trio which follows a young acolyte from novice through training to extra-ordinary accomplishments both spiritual and physical.

While reading this second book in the author's _Chronicles of the Tao Trilogy_ it repeatedly occurred to me that it lacked the depth and meaning of the first volume. It seemed to have degenerated to a martial arts morality play.

A great continuation of the first volume, very entertaining, marred only by the false portrayal of this as series as non-fiction. I strongly recommend the first two volumes of the trilogy.
